The annual SHE Awards event honors extraordinary women living in and around the Huron community. The awards recipients are recognized for their contribution in the areas of community service, humanitarianism and leadership. These women have demonstrated characteristics such as strength, honor, and empowerment all while serving as a role model for other successful women. The Empowering SHE award honors a business or organization who empowers women through leadership roles, mentorship and opportunities. Please submit nominations by midnight on October 19, 2024.

2. Choose ONE of the following categories for the person you are nominating (NOTE-selecting 2 will not allow the questions to appear, if you want to nominate in two categories, please submit two nomination forms): *This question is required.

Woman of Influence – This award is to recognize a local woman who has demonstrated excellent leadership and also exhibits the potential to significantly inspire or lead others to reach their highest potential. Evidence of successful leadership may include, but are not limited to areas of education, charitable work, philanthropy, environmental advocacy, public policy and servicing senior citizens, youth, the disabled and underprivileged.
Empowering SHE – This award will be given to a business that actively supports females within their workplace. The business must show support by encouraging the progression of women through mentoring, training, networking opportunities and personal development. The business must empower women to reach their highest level of personal and professional accomplishments. The business must be located in Huron or within a 40 mile radius of the city.
Rising Star Scholar Award - This award recognizes an exceptional high school senior girl who has demonstrated a commitment to community service. The recipient of this award, who is completing her senior year in spring 2025, is planning to continue her education at either a two-year technical school or a four-year college. She exemplifies leadership, dedication, and a passion for making a positive impact in her community. Her achievements and aspirations reflect the core values of the SHE awards — Strength, Honor, and Empowerment — inspiring others to strive for excellence and service. A $500 scholarship to further her education will be awarded to the winner at the SHE Awards.

Nominations Requirements:
Any corporation, agency, business, civic organization, school, place of worship or other group/individual may nominate a deserving woman for a specific SHE Award. Nominee must live within 40 miles of Huron.
