KDOT Safe Routes to School Strategic Plan Survey - 2024

Welcome

The Kansas Department of Transportation's (KDOT) Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Program is creating its first Strategic Action Plan to guide our work over the next five years. SRTS is a multi-faceted approach that promotes walking, biking, and rolling to school using policies, programs, and projects. The goal of SRTS is to get more kids walking, biking, and rolling to school, improve safety, and increase health and physical activity. In addition, SRTS programs seek to decrease the number of families driving to school, which can reduce traffic, improve air quality, and reduce costs for families. More information about the Kansas SRTS program can be found at https://saferoutes.ksdot.gov/.

This survey asks about current SRTS efforts, barriers, opportunities, and needs to help inform the plan. While anybody can take this survey, it is especially designed for SRTS practitioners, advocates, parents, city staff, school districts, and anybody that would like see Kansas' SRTS Program grow and get stronger!

This survey will take approximately 10-20 minutes. Please email Ann Katt, KDOT Safe Routes to School Coordinator, at ann.katt@ks.gov with any questions.

Also, if you aren't already, sign up for the Kansas SRTS e-newsletter or register your school here!
