Pilot Model for Exceptionally-Qualified International Medical Graduate Pathway to Board Eligibility Public Comment

Please share your opinion on the proposal to create a pathway for exceptionally qualified International Medical Graduates (IMG) to take the Internal Medicine Initial Certification Examination. Passing the exam would allow IMGs who meet certain criteria to earn board certification in Internal Medicine, and make them eligible to take a subspecialty certification exam in the fellowship discipline in which they trained.

Please share your opinion on the proposal to create a pathway for exceptionally qualified international medical graduates who have successfully completed accredited fellowship training in the US or Canada to apply for admission to the Internal Medicine Exam. Passing the exam would earn an IMG to earn board certification in Internal Medicine, and be eligible to take a subspecialty certification exam in the fellowship discipline in which they trained.
