Being a Student Caucus member is a great opportunity to serve your community and represent your peers.
You will:
- Immerse yourself in a professional environment and work closely with skilled and knowledgeable administrators, faculty, and staff.
- Have an opportunity to make change on issues you care about that shape the student experience by contributing to important decisions.
- Get paid for your services and gain formal acknowledgement for your service through a certificate of recognition.
You will be responsible for:
- Understanding and being prepared to participate in the university committee you will serve on. This will include attending a mandatory orientation on September 26, 2026.
- Attending meetings of the university committees you will serve on – typically twice a month for 3-5 hours. You will need to read agendas, prepare comments and questions, and seek assistance as needed.
- Attending monthly Student Caucus Gatherings. These will include mandatory monthly trainings and informational briefings on Wednesday evenings.
- Completing post-meeting reports and attending one-on-one sessions with the University Affairs Coordinator.
