Purpose of Scholarship:
The aim of this scholarship is to support and promote the local building industry workforce and encourage entry into the workforce by providing funding opportunities to cover various educational courses and training opportunities in:
- Energy efficiency & sustainability
- High-performance buildings
- Zero-energy or zero-carbon buildings & homes
- Building & homes electrification
Available Funds:
Individuals or businesses can apply for this scholarship. Amounts available:
- Individuals: Up to $1,200 annually
- Businesses and Organizations: Up to $2,500 annually
Funding will be available until the allocated funds are exhausted within the calendar year. Notices regarding funding availability will be posted on www.fcgov.com/buildingscholarship.
Follow Up:
Applicants will be notified of their scholarship award following a final review by the application team. Please allow a minimum of two weeks from the date of application submission for the review process.
Decision Factors:
The following criteria will be considered in determining scholarship awards:
- Applicant Type: Business or individual (refer to Available Funds)
- Career Intentions: Plans to work in the building industry, and specifically related to energy efficiency, high-performance buildings, or zero-energy or zero-carbon buildings & homes, and buildings & homes electrification.
- Commitment: Demonstrated dedication to implementing energy-efficient methods and products
- Location: Plans to work in Fort Collins
- Course Applicability: Relevance and completion date of the training course
- Single Application: Only one application per course will be accepted
