Dear Student,
Since the pandemic, many colleges have shifted from in-person classes to offering more online courses. To understand how this change has affected students, the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office is working with a research group to study the impact of online learning on students’ experiences, access to classes, and success in college. The findings will be shared with state leaders to help improve online education in California’s community colleges. We invite you to take this survey to share your experiences and help us make online learning better for all students. This survey will take about 10-15 minutes to complete. Those who participate will have a chance to win one of 116 fifty-dollar ($50) gift cards.
Anonymity. Your responses to this survey are anonymous, and no personally identifiable data will be shared with your college. We will take precautions to ensure that no identifiable information will be disclosed in any reports.
Voluntary. This survey is completely voluntary. You do not have to participate, and no one at the college or The RP Group (the third-party research group administering this survey) will know if you do or do not participate. If you do not want to answer a specific question, you may skip it (but your perspective is important to us, so we hope you will answer as many questions as you can). You may discontinue your participation at any time without penalty.
Benefits. Your participation in this survey will help inform policies and practices related to online education within the CCC system.
Risks. Some of the questions may be sensitive in nature and cause emotional discomfort. You may stop the survey at any time or skip any questions you do not want to answer.
If you want more information about this survey, please contact Dr. Katie Brohawn, kbrohawn@rpgroup.org.
