Region 1 Planning Council's 2025 Federal Funding Application

Welcome to the Region 1 Planning Council’s (R1) application portal for the 2025 MPO-attributable funding project solicitation.  All public local agencies eligible to receive FHWA Federal Aid transportation assistance may apply. R1 will award funds from the Surface Transportation Block Grant Program (STBG), which includes the set aside for Transportation Alternatives, as well as the Carbon Reduction Program (CRP).

Funding decisions for this project solicitation will be informed by the project selection criteria identified in the Policies & Procedures for the Distribution of Federal Transportation Funds

Funding for this cycle is available for fiscal years 2026 through 2029. Per the Policies & Procedures for the Distribution of Federal Transportation Funds, the total project funding awarded to a single project is capped at no more than two years of the annual suballocation per funding program. Any cost above this amount is the responsibility of the local sponsor. The amounts provided below are subject to change based on future annual allocations.
