The purpose of this research is to examine the impact of Open Access and barriers to publishing for the ecological and environmental sciences community in general. Your participation in the survey will contribute to a better understanding of author experiences and patterns across the community.

Your participation will take approimately 15 minutes. There are no reasonably foreseeable risks or discomforts. There will be no costs or direct benefits to the subjects for participating. Your email will be kept only for tracking participation. Only the research team members will have access to the data during data collection. Your email, along with any other personal identifiable information about you, will be stripped from the final data set so the results of any analysis will not be able to be traced back to individual responses. Your information collected as part of this research, even if identifiers are removed, will not be used or distributed for future research studies. You will not be compensated for your participation.

Your participation in this survey is voluntary. You have the right to withdraw from participation at any time without penalty. The alternative to participating is to not participate. You may decline to participate at any time.
