Recovery Implementation Task Force - Application

Information about the Recovery Implementation Task Force

The mission of the Recovery Implementation Task Force (RITF) is to transform Wisconsin mental health and substance use services to embody recovery, hope, dignity, and empowerment throughout the lifespan, in partnership with the Department of Health Services, Division of Care and Treatment Services, Bureau of Prevention Treatment and Recovery.

The RITF envisions and strives towards a future where mental health and substance use systems successfully implement recovery-focused principles for people of all ages, identities, and experiences. In this vision, all individuals are offered the connection, support, education, and access to resources they need. Moving towards community empowerment and supporting meaningful living, the RITF walks alongside the diverse journeys of healing and recovery for all people.

The RITF is an advisory board to the Division of Care and Treatment Services. The group is comprised primarily of people with lived experience with mental health and/or substance use, but other recovery advocates are also welcome. See more information about the RITF, including meeting agendas and minutes

There are four committees for members of the RITF:
  • Training and Education
  • Collaborative Program Advancement
  • Prison and Institution Transition
  • Membership

The RITF meets on the third Friday of every other month (Jan, Mar, May, July, Sept, Nov). Currently, meetings are held virtually. Reimbursement for mileage is available for peer members if meetings shift to a hybrid format.

Individuals may apply for membership to a committee only or for a seat on the larger body.

All applicants must attend at least one meeting as a guest prior to applying for membership to better understand the work of the RITF and whether membership will be a good fit for them.

Complete this online questionnaire to apply for membership.
