Cook County Small Business Source - 2024 Referral Partner Interest Form

Introduction

The Cook County Small Business Source is seeking non-profit organizations to join its partner network as a Referral Partner.

We seek organizations that:

Have a footprint or presence in Suburban Cook County
Serve historically excluded populations
Have the staffing and resources to conduct marketing and outreach on behalf of the Cook County Small Business Source

Since 2020, the Cook County Small Business Source has provided no-cost business advising, resources, events/webinars, and grants to over 16,000 small businesses throughout Cook County. 77% of business owners served by the program represent historically excluded communities and 94% are microbusinesses with ten or less employees. Because of partners like you, we are able to expand our reach through Cook County to serve small businesses who need assistance and resources to grow and thrive.

This year, referral partners will be categorized into three types of roles, with funding allocated based on role.

Specialty Partners (Tier 1): These organizations have expertise in the following areas: supplier development, solar installation, construction, clean energy, and procurement readiness. We will expect partners to host events, conduct training sessions, provide specialized resources, and offer referrals to The Source. Specialty Partners will receive $15,000 in funding.
Networking Partners (Tier 2): These organizations will foster connections among small businesses by organizing networking events and referring businesses to The Source. Networking Partners will receive $15,000 in funding.
Marketing Partners (Tier 3): These organizations will focus on general outreach and marketing efforts for The Source, with a particular emphasis on suburban Cook County-based small businesses. Marketing Partners will receive $10,000 in funding.
