Dogs Inc has cultivated a well-defined program to breed dogs whose temperament, intelligence, and health combine to produce some of the finest guide and service dogs in the world.
To support our breeding program, we partner with selected volunteers who host our breeder dogs in their homes, then return the dogs to campus when needed for breeding and whelping. These breeder host families are an extension of our work here at Dogs Inc, and donate time, attention, and helping hands to help us reach our mission.
Typically, a dog will remain in our breeding program for 3-5 years. After they are done breeding, as determined by Dogs Inc, the breeder host will receive the option to adopt the dog as a family pet. Once the dog transitions to a family pet, the owners will assume full financial responsibility.
