PDX2045: Close out

PDX 2045

PDX 2045 is an effort to update the Portland International Airport Master Plan and plan the future of PDX together.

PDX 2045 will set the course for development at Portland International Airport (PDX) for the next 20 years and beyond. This project will update the PDX master plan to ensure that PDX has the space and facilities to serve travelers, cargo, employees, and businesses across the region.

The purpose of PDX 2045 is to define a framework for planning and implementing ongoing development and investments at PDX to meet future demand. Updating the master plan involves forecasting future needs, comparing those needs to current capacity, and analyzing alternatives to best meet the Port of Portland’s (Port) Shared Prosperity mission. The plan will help the Port prepare for emerging opportunities and trends in the aviation industry while also exploring ways that PDX can help bring economic benefits to everyone across the region.

The development of PDX 2045 began in 2023 and will take about three years to complete.
