Frequency and Barriers to Coronary IVI Use in PCI

This survey-based research study is directed towards practicing Interventional Cardiology Attendings and Fellows-in-Training. The purpose of this study is to understand current practice, perceptions, and barriers to use of intravascular imaging (IVI) in percutaneous coronary intervention. In this survey, intravascular imaging refers to intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) and/or optical coherence tomography (OCT). 

This one-time survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Your participation in this survey is completely voluntary. All questions are optional, and you can stop your participation at any time. No personal health information is collected in the survey. Timir Paul, MD, PhD MPH (University of Tennessee-Nashville/Ascension St. Thomas Hospital), will be leading the analyses of the anonymous survey responses. Data will be reported in aggregate only. You will not be paid for participating in this study. 

At the end of the survey, you will have the option of entering your name and email address for a drawing for 1 of 2 free registrations to SCAI 2026 Scientific Sessions. Your contact information will also be used to remove you from this survey’s email reminder list. Only authorized SCAI staff will have access to your contact information for these purposes.
