CHEST 2024 Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellows Nomination Form

CHEST is offering a full-day, invite-only, in-person Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellows Course at the CHEST Annual Meeting 2024 in Boston, MA, on Saturday, October 5.

This interactive, lecture-free, educational experience teaches evidence-based medicine in advanced content areas. With expert CHEST educators leading simulation and case-based learning, fellows will have the opportunity to build toward mastery in key skills, including:

Advanced Airway Rescue
Bronchoscopic Control of Bleeding
Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation for Acute Respiratory Failure
Mechanical Ventilation Modes and Ventilator Dyssynchrony
Advanced Echocardiography for Critical Care
Treatment of Hypercapnic Respiratory Failure: Outpatient Treatment and Inpatient-Outpatient Transitions
Pulmonary Artery Catheter Waveforms and Interpretation

This is an excellent opportunity for one of your fellows to attend a relevant learning experience in pulmonology and critical care. When choosing a fellow, please consider selecting a fellow who has not previously attended a CHEST pulmonary and critical care fellows course. This course is geared toward second year fellows, but any fellow with foundational knowledge and experience in pulmonary and critical care medicine can benefit from hands-on learning in these advanced topics, and we will accept nominations of fellows in all years of training.

Important Information Regarding Nominations

In order to ensure equal opportunity for all fellows and programs, our goal is to accept at least one fellow per program. With continued high interest in this course, we will do our best to accommodate as many fellows as possible.

Once all available slots are filled, nominations will close.
Completing the nomination form DOES NOT guarantee your fellow will be selected to participate.
Accepted fellows MUST be members of CHEST.

Each Accepted Fellow Will Receive:

Complimentary registration to CHEST 2024
$400 travel stipend for air flights and ground transportation that will be provided to the fellow after completion of their post-course survey
Single room accommodations at a CHEST Annual Meeting 2024 hotel for Friday, October 4, and Saturday, October 5
Continental breakfast and lunch during the course on Saturday, October 5
