Project Description:
Neurodiversity in Agritourism Experiences: The Design & Impact of Planning for Neuroinclusion at Farmers Markets. This study investigates the outcomes of resilience rooms at farmers' markets by exploring the experiences of neurodivergent individuals and their families or supporters. This unique and first-of-its-kind study includes the creation of a resilience room at the SLO Downtown Farmers Market to offer a supportive environment for neurodivergent guests to self-regulate. Farmers markets can be lively, loud, overstimulating environments and the resilience room can help shoppers to self-regulate. This project will examine literature related to the topic of neurodiversity, means-end, and inclusive spaces, develop the project instrument, and pilot test the study.
Applications are due by March 8 2024
