Host a Work Experience Y-CAN 2024-25

Employer Interest Form

Thank you for your interest in the Oregon Youth Employment Program (OYEP)!

The Youth Career Achievement Network (Y-CAN) is a workforce training and development program through OYEP that provides youth the opportunity to learn essential employability skills and apply them by working with local businesses. Youth participants will earn $17.00 an hour while attending eligible essential employability skills training programs and participating in a work experience with local employers.

The employer may be in various industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, construction, hospitality, and/ or transportation, distribution, and warehousing among others. Youth participants can expect mentorship and support throughout the program which will help guide them through essential employability skills training and the work experience. By the end of the Y-CAN program, participants will be more familiar with local businesses and organizations, have an updated resume or portfolio, and learn new technical and essential skills.

Host businesses can expect that Willamette Workforce Partnership (WWP) will pay the wages for the Youth during their work experience.

Funding for this program is through the State of Oregon and requires verification that your business is eligible to receive state and/or federal funding.

WWP will review your interest form and will be in touch regarding next steps. THANK YOU!!!
