International Convention Attraction Fund (ICAF) Application

The International Convention Attraction Fund (ICAF) is designed to demonstrate financial commitments in bids for Canadian cities to host major international conventions in Canada.

Applications must be submitted by Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) partners on a bidding opportunity basis for eligible international conventions. Applications must be submitted at least 3 months prior to the bid due date.

As the year-end approaches, we kindly remind you that our office will be closed from the afternoon of December 24th to January 1st. To ensure timely processing of ICAF applications requiring a letter of support before year-end, please submit your applications by December 16th 2024. Applications received after this date will be processed in the new year, with responses expected by January 10th 2025.

Please note the normal processing time for an application is 30 days until we can make a funding decision.
