IFLA Public Libraries Guidelines Survey 2025

The IFLA Public Library Service Guidelines were last updated in 2010 and aimed “to provide assistance to library and information professionals in most situations, to assist them in better developing effective services, relevant collections, and accessible formats within the context and requirements of the local community.”

The IFLA Public Libraries and Metropolitan Libraries Sections have come together to review the IFLA Public Library Service Guidelines. We want your feedback to inform the review of these guidelines to ensure they are up to date, relevant and useful.

In 2022, we updated the IFLA-UNESCO Public Library Manifesto and now seek to ensure the IFLA Public Library Service Guidelines are aligned.

Please complete the following survey to assist with the review of the Guidelines.
