Foothills WFR Reimbursement Program - FY24

   Foothills Wilderness First Reponder (WFR) Reimbursement Program

Foothills volunteers may be eligible for 50% of the cost of a club-sponsored Wilderness First Responder (WFR) Course, up to $375.00. All of the program requirements below must be met in order to be eligible for reimbursement:
  • Apply by answering below questions and receive approval from Foothills First Aid Chair or Foothills WFR Course Coordinator. Applications will be reviewed within 7 days.
  • Complete and graduate from a club-sponsored WFR course between 10/01/2023 and 09/15/2024. Members who graduated from a previously-held course are eligible, so long as course occured after 10/01/2023.
  • Complete and graduate from Base Medical's Instructor Training program by 09/30/2024. (There is no $ cost associated to enroll in Base's program.)
  • Agree to instruct for 2 Foothills Wilderness First Aid (WFA) classes in 2024 or 2025, even if classes have not been scheduled or posted yet. The Foothills WFA Class Coordinator or Foothills First Aid Committee Chair will coordinate the timing of classes with instructors.
  • Submit a reimbursement request to the Foothills First Aid Chair for 50% of the 2024 club WFR course cost (up to $375) by 09/30/2024.
Note that the funds for this program are only available until 09/30/2024. By receiving approval to be eligible for this reimbursement, all steps still need to be completed by 09/30/2024 or reimbursement is void. 

Once the budget for this program is exhausted, no additional approvals will be granted.

9. Assuming above conditions are met, I understand the deadline to submit for 50% reimbursement (up to $375) is 09/30/2024. I understand that any reimbursement requests received after this date will not be honored. *This question is required.
