Thank you for your interest in nominating a student for the Daniel J. Evans Civic Education Award.Any student in grades 3–12, currently enrolled in a Washington school, may be nominated for this award. All nominees must meet two criteria:
- Successful completion of one of the following:
- an OSPI-Developed Assessment in civics,
- a district-supported Classroom Based Assessment,
- civic-related National History Day project or other project-based learning, or
- a civic-related inquiry project
- Active participation in civic leadership within the classroom, school, and community.
To complete this nomination you will need to provide:
- Basic information about yourself and your student nominee.
- Several short essay responses.
- Information about the student's civics assessment or civics project.
- A PDF copy of the student's civics assessment or civics project.
You may save and continue your nomination later, but you must submit your nomination by June 30, 2024
