Thanks to the generous support of individual and corporate donors, the LGBTQ+ James Robertson Student Access Fund enables LGBTQ+ MBA students to attend Reaching Out events, helping them grow as leaders. We invite students to apply for funds when covering the cost of travel would provide a financial burden.
We ask that students capable of personally covering travel costs and those that receive funding from their school or LGBTQ+ Club reconsider applying. This allows us to provide funding to more students that otherwise would not be able to participate.
If you have not yet approached your school and/or LGBTQ+ club about financial support, we will be more than happy to provide the necessary information for you to do so. If, after accessing different forms of funds and reflecting on your personal financial capacity, you find yourself in need of additional assistance, please complete the application below.
The submission of an assistance request is not a guarantee of funding. ROMBA will cover up to $500 in funding per student.
- Funding may only be used for transportation (by car/plane/train/bus) and lodging.
- Funding may not help cover the cost of registration for a ROMBA event.
- If the total expenses submitted are less than the award amount, you will only be reimbursed for the total expense amount.
- Additionally, Reaching Out will not provide reimbursement for travel expenses that were not used due to a variety of reasons, such as delays, cancellations, illness, etc. We encourage you to book refundable travel arrangements wherever possible.
- The Reaching Out staff will confirm your attendance to the event and only those with a confirmed attendance will receive reimbursement. Those who were awarded funding but did not attend the event will not receive a reimbursement payment.
- Students can only receive funding for one (1) event during the calendar year.
Staff will review and accept applications on a rolling basis. Any funding that is awarded will be paid as a reimbursement after the event occurs. For any questions, please email
