Thank you for your interest in Kids On The Move! Our program would not be possible without the help of volunteers like you! We are looking for individuals who are interested and enthusiastic about helping coach at school and community-based kids running and fitness clubs. Your application will be used to help us understand your specific interest and availability, which will then help us to find the club that would benefit the most from your coaching. As a coach, a primary role you play is to encourage physical activity to youngsters in a nurturing way. Previous coaching experience is not necessary but a passion for active living is preferred.
If selected, please consider that you will need to commit to the following:
- Attend the new coaches' clinic on the evening of Wednesday, January 31st, 2024. The clinic will be held at the Sports Backers stadium and will start at 5pm.
- Attend the Spring Season Kick-Off, which will include both new and veteran coaches from across the region, on Tuesday, February 6th, 2024. The Kick-Off will start at 5pm and will be held at the University of Richmond Football Suites, on the 3rd floor.
- Regular attendance at your assigned club for the 2023-2024 school year, with the hope that you will continue for years to come!
- Completion of a background check.
