Wisconsin Children's System of Care Champion Nomination

The Wisconsin Children Come First Advisory Committee (CCFAC) advocates for and supports the development of a statewide Children’s System of Care to ensure children and families are valued, understood, and supported in their communities.

Contributions to this effort occur at both local and statewide levels and are provided by:

  • Family members and youth who promote system change.
  • Individuals who partner with others to collaborate, provide leadership, and influence systems serving children, youth, and families.
  • Agencies committed to advocating, collaborating, and providing services and leadership to promote an effective system of care.

Members of CCFAC would like to honor those who have made extraordinary contributions to the expansion and evolution of the system of care efforts. These contributions frequently receive minimal recognition. To change this, the CCFAC has established the Children’s System of Care Champion Award.

The first Children’s System of Care Champion Award will be presented at the Children Come First Conference October 7-8, 2024, in the Wisconsin Dells.

The deadline for nominations is July 12, 2024.

Please consider potential nominees who have made significant contributions at local, regional, or statewide levels, in either the recent past or over a significant period of time.

This is an opportunity to remember and recognize those who have contributed to the growth of Wisconsin’s Children’s System of Care.

If you have questions, please reach out to Ann Kelley-Kuehmichel at
ann.kelleykuehmichel@dhs.wisconsin.gov. or to a CCFAC member.

Members of the CCFAC will review the nominations and gather additional information as needed before selecting the winner.
