The Rotorua Youth Council gives young people a voice in local decision-making and helps create positive change for rangatahi across our community.
We're looking for passionate young people who want to make a difference, represent the views of other young people, and contribute to projects and initiatives that support Rotorua.
As a Youth Councillor, you'll be expected to:
- Attend and participate in meetings and events.
- Share the views of young people from your networks and community.
- Contribute ideas and solutions on issues affecting rangatahi.
- Connect and collaborate with other Youth Councillors, community members, Council staff, and elected members
- Commit to the responsibilities of the role for the full term, from January to October 2027.
This application is your chance to tell us about yourself, your interests, your involvement in your community, and what you hope to achieve as a Youth Councillor.
