The Park District of Oak Park operates two dog parks within Oak Park. While dogs are allowed in all Oak Park parks while under the control of their owner on a leash no longer than eight feet, the Park District's dog parks give your tail wagging companions a place they can call their own and run off leash. Dog parks use a key card access system. Members must bring their gate access card to access the parks. Dog parks are maintained and inspected by Park District staff. Dog owners, who are not in compliance with dog park rules and requirements, may be subject to fines as well as dismissal from dog park use.
Residents: First Dog FREE • Second Dog FREE • Gate Access Card Deposit $10 (New applicants)
Non-Residents: First Dog $20 • Second Dog $10 • Gate Access Card Deposit $10 (New applicants)
Replacement Cards: If you lose your gate access card, you will lose your deposit and must pay a new $10 deposit for a replacement card.
If you have the following documents, please feel free to complete this aplication in order to obtain your dog park membership.
- Provide proof of a valid Village dog license receipt including the license number. (Oak Park residents only)
- Provide proof of vaccinations for the current year, including Rabies, Distemper, Kennel Cough/Bordetella, Para-influenza and Parvovirus are required.
- Provide proof of a fecal test for intestinal parasites within the last year or proof that your dog is actively taking heartworm preventative medicine.
