Hearing in later life

Hearing survey:

The International Federation on Ageing (IFA) is an international non-governmental organization (NGO) whose members are government, NGOs, academia, industry, and individuals in nearly 80 countries.  The IFA stands to drive the agenda for the world’s population on ageing.  IFA invites you to complete the questionnaire to understand the views of older adults living with hearing loss.

Information and Consent Form
Methods
This survey is anonymous and will ask questions related to your understanding and experiences related to hearing health.  This survey is comprised of 5 multiple-choice questions and is designed to take less than 5 minutes to complete.  The survey will accept responses until November 20, 2023.

You are being invited to complete this survey as an adult (50 years of age or older) experiencing hearing loss or hearing-related complications.  This is a voluntary survey, and you are free to end the survey and withdraw at any point.  The material will cover questions relating to the general understanding of the societal perspectives of hearing loss, barriers to accessing ear and hearing care assistive devices, and lived experiences amongst participants.

Confidentiality
All results of this survey are confidential and collected through Alchemer.  These are stored electronically, but do not collect any identifying information such as names or contact information.  Only the researchers will have access to the study data and information.

Withdrawal
Participation in this study is voluntary, and you can withdraw at any point.  There will be no further contact with you after the completion of the survey.
