FJC is piloting a new incentive program for campers in California, Arizona, Colorado, Oregon, and Washington state with at least one Israeli-born parent.
First-time overnight campers may receive an incentive grant of $1,000 for 12-18 days of camp or $1,500 for up to 19+ days of camp. This incentive is in lieu of traditional One Happy Camper® grants, and families may still be eligible for additional financial assistance from their camps.
Second-time overnight campers may also receive an incentive grant for their second summer at camp: $700 for 12-18 days of camp or $1,000 for 19+ days.
This application will collect your information to verify eligibility, and confirm information with your chosen camp.
ELIGIBLITY:
- Family must live in California, Arizona, Colorado, Oregon or Washington state and choose an overnight camp in these states
- At least one parent of the camper is Israeli (or the camper themselves is Israeli-born)
- First-time incentive:
- Camper must not have attended any Jewish overnight camp for more than 10 days prior to summer 2024
- Camper must not have previously received and used a One Happy Camper grant
- Second-time incentive:
- Campers who are spending their second summer at camp (minimum 12 days) are eligible for grants and ideally were at camp in Summer 2023.
- Multiple children per family may be eligible; we ask for a complete application per child
- Families will be asked to complete the pre-summer survey (as part of this form) and a post summer survey
Please Note: There are a limited number of grants available for campers who attend Jewish day school.
This form includes a brief pre-camp survey that FJC requests parents complete
with their children. This survey captures information that helps FJC evaluate the impact of the program and helps us learn more about how camps can best serve the Israeli-American community. FJC will send an additional survey after camp to ask similar questions. There are no right or wrong answers to the questions – try to answer as honestly as you can!
