Each year the Cleveland Institute of Art hosts the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for the Greater Cleveland area, including Cuyahoga, Geauga, and Lake Counties. The competition is open to students in grades 7-12 and is an opportunity for them to submit their best writing or artwork for a chance to win national recognition, awards and scholarships. Jurors support our Greater Cleveland students by looking for works that exemplify the Awards’ core values: originality, technical skill, and the emergence of personal voice or vision.
Update 12/18/23: Judging for the art awards will take place via zoom starting in mid-February. Judging for the writing awards will be virtual and self-paced starting mid-February.
