The
DOIT (Diverse Organizational Impact and Transformation) Certification is an achievement that certifies an institution’s progress on diversity and inclusion infrastructures. It measures an institution’s advancement from ideal to advanced progress on diversity and inclusion by auditing institution behaviors and frequencies that help or hinder the transformation of everyday experiences for students, faculty, and staff. As part of the
DOIT Certification process, four surveys have been designed to plot
intentional progress regarding a university's performance in four areas. The areas are collectively referenced as Institutional Pillars for Transformation (IPTs):
Pillar I: Institutional Leadership & Commitment (ILC)
Pillar II: Institutional Curricular & Co-Curricular Transformation (ICT)
Pillar III: Institutional Climate (IC)
Pillar IV: Institutional Senior-Level Representation/Composition (ISR)
The surveys use a Likert scale to plot institution responses to transformative diversity leadership inquiry and to assess an institutions’ intentional commitment to each IPT. Future stages towards certification will require supporting documentation for the IPT survey responses that place institutions at specific levels.
Before starting the survey we highly recommend you watch the DOIT
instructional videos that will explain the entire process in detail including what you will need to complete the survey as well as how the scoring process works.
This entire survey contains 4 parts to encompass all 4 pillars. To move on to the next certification stage all 4 parts must be completed. Note: Each survey should be answered by the institution's most qualified personnel. Completion time will vary. The deadline for survey responses is Friday, January 31, 2025. Thank you for your participation and we look forward to your responses!
