Colorado Technology Association's Tech Certification & Training Program is a free, 15 - week, virtual Google Data Analytics or Cybersecurity certification program for individuals looking to deepen their technical skills, transition careers into a technical role or on-ramp into a career path in the tech industry.

As part of the program, CTA is seeking technology professionals to support program participant's understanding and growth in the tech industry. This is a great opportunity to support Colorado's technology workforce pipeline and attract new talent to the sector.

Below are the volunteer opportunities for the program which will allow participants to gain industry insights, to hear from YOU about your career journey and to receive career guidance from seasoned professionals.

Be a Mentor
Details: Meet with an individual or a small group of participants to share your experience working in the tech industry, plus participant Q&A.
Time Commitment: (virtual or in-person) 2 x 1 hour meetings over 3 months
Review Resumes
Details: Review 1-2 participant resumes and provide feedback
Time Commitment: virtual 1 hour meeting (one meeting per participant)
Conduct Mock Interviews

Details: Participate in a virtual mock interview to help participants prepare for technical job interview questions.
Time Commitment: virtual or in-person, 1 hour meeting (one meeting per participant)
Present at an Information Session:

Details: Present on an informational topic that pertains to your company or tech industry + Q&A.
Examples of topics can include 1) overview of your company and what your job entails, 2) overview of what a data analyst or cybersecurity analyst does day-to-day, or 3) tech sector career pathway overview.
