Growing Home Student Application 2024

Background Information

Growing Home is a program of the Greater Omaha Chamber to connect diverse students who are attending a Higher Education Institution, either out of state or an in-state institution but want to continue building their network and exploring work opportunities in Omaha, Nebraska. Students will receive professional development training and mentorship from Omaha professionals and be connected to internship opportunities in Omaha over summer break.

Interested students must commit to regular communication with their mentor through the 2024-2025 academic year, attending career development and business visits during summer 2024. Students will receive a stipend for successful participation.

 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • May 2024, graduate from an Omaha-area high school

AND

  • Attend a Higher Education Institution

AND

  • Identify as belonging to the Black, Indigenous, and Person of Color (BIPOC) community.
