National Science Week grant

Background

The Royal Society of Victoria (RSV) in partnership with NHVic are offering grant funding to Neighbourhood Houses to produce, advertise and deliver an event for National Science Week 12 to 20 August 2023.

National science week is Australia's annual celebration of science and technology. Thousands of individuals take part in science events across Australia.

National Science Week aims to encourage an interest in the community of scientific pursuits and to encourage people to become fascinated by the world we live in. These activities will align with a number of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Through the generosity of RSV, Neighbourhood Houses across rural, regional and metro Victoria can apply for $1000 grants to run National Science Week events. There are 18 grants available in this grant application. Please note that Neighbourhood Houses will need to be members of NHVic to be eligible to apply.

Grant applications open Monday 26 June and will close on Monday 17 July at 3pm. Applicants will be of the outcome of the grant round by late July.

Funded events will need to run during Science Week 12 to 20 August 2023. Successful grant recipients are required to provide NHVic with information about the outcomes, photos, and case stories from their events. The data will be used by NHVic to compile a final report on behalf of all successful grant recipients.
