Renton Connector

Welcome!

This survey was closed on July 24, 2023. You're welcome to click through it, but no further data is being collected.

Project Background
The Renton Downtown Civic Core Vision and Action Plan established a vision for Downtown as a place “where people of all ages and abilities live, work, shop, recreate and gather, connected by art and public spaces.” A key element of the plan is the Renton Connector, which will connect Burnett Linear Parks North and South with a new urban trail for people walking and biking. The Renton Connector project is currently in the early phase of design and no funding has been identified for construction.

Project Extents

Shared Use Path
This project includes a shared use path: a continuous, safe, and attractive pathway for people walking and biking along Burnett Ave S between S 2nd Street and S 5th Street. The path is separated from car traffic to increase the safety and comfort of users, and uses different paving materials from a standard road or sidewalk. The design also identifies opportunities to incorporate future art, play spaces, and gathering spaces along the shared use path to provide an active and engaging corridor.

This survey presents two design concepts for each of the three blocks within the Renton Connector project area. You will be asked to choose which concept you prefer and answer additional questions about how to make this portion of Burnett Ave S work best for the Renton community.
