This series will look at scaffolding instruction for MLs and ELLs from three different perspectives:
- First, by defining what scaffolding is and how it can both support and challenge middle school MLs and ELLs,
- second, by examining how scaffolding can help students approach the NYS Next Generation ELA Learning Standards
- and third, by modeling examples of scaffolding using a unit from the Grade 7 HMH Into Literature curriculum
All sessions to be held virtually. Please indicate your preferred start and end time for sessions at the end of this survey.
Session 1: Tuesday, July 11
Session 2: Tuesday, July 18
