Durham Digital Divide and Digital Capability (Consent)

Introduction and Consent

Introduction:

In the current digital era, access to the internet is essential for information around health, education, civic engagement, commerce, and many other activities.  Gaps in access to information result in digital divides and reduced capabilities in society.  This survey is designed to take the pulse on these issues in our community.

Since this is a digital survey, we have arranged for it to be available through community locations, such as libraries, schools, and others.  It can also be completed on a smart phone with a touch screen.

Before turning to the survey, a key first step is what is termed “voluntary consent” – so you know that participation is voluntary, how the data will be used and other considerations.
