New York City's Department of Education's Office of Multilingual Learners welcomes multilingual and immigrant families to participate in the GenConnect Program!
The GenConnect Program is an eight-week program designed to help multilingual and immigrant families (guardian and child) stay connected to their culture, language, and traditions, while navigating the education system. During the eight weeks, families are invited to deepen cultural connections through participation in cultural activities, workshops, and community exploration.
GenConnect takes place over eight consecutive Saturdays. For more information about which Saturdays GenConnect is available at child's your school, contact the Parent Coordinator or Principal at the school.
