Massachusetts Civics Project Showcase Community Advisor Registration

Join us as a volunteer Community Advisor at the Massachusetts Civics Project Showcase!

On Friday, June 2, the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education will host the first annual Massachusetts Civics Project Showcase on the campus of Clark University. At this "science fair for civics," 8th-12th grade students from across the state will share about real-world action they are taking on community issues, from student mental health to environmental justice to educational equity.

As part of this event, we are looking for volunteers to serve as Community Advisors. During the Showcase, Advisors will have short conversations with students about their projects, asking questions and offering feedback based on their own expertise. Given the wide range in project topics, we are looking for advisors from a diversity of backgrounds: community organizers, legislators, non-profit leaders, educators, healthcare workers, and many more. Join us to celebrate the civic engagement of young people in Massachusetts!

This event will run from 9:30am-12:30pm on June 2 on the campus of Clark University in Worcester, MA, with registration and light breakfast available at 9. The agenda for Community Advisors is below:

9-9:30am Registration (light breakfast available)
