In Fall 2022,
Cultural Programs of the National Academy of Sciences (CPNAS) and the
Gulf Research Program of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (GRP) began an online salon discussion series aimed at creating a network (The Creative Gulf Network) and community of creative practitioners in the Gulf Region to discuss Gulf Futures that includes scientists, artists, and other culture bearers. We are joined in this effort by artist/scientist Brandon Ballengee. Since then, a growing group of creative practitioners have been meeting on Zoom on a bi-monthly basis for conversations on various topics related to the Gulf.
We are interested in the role that artists and the arts community can play in shaping and inspiring a healthy and resilient future across Gulf Coast communities. This is important work and we hope you will add your voice to this conversation.
Please let us know if you want to join these conversations by completing this short questionnaire. If you are not interested, there is an option to opt out of the email list.
