Maryland Department of Natural Resources, Chesapeake and Coastal Service Needs Assessment

Introduction

In 2013, the Maryland Commission on Climate Change identified increasing temperature, increasing precipitation, and sea level rise as the biggest climate change exacerbating stressors facing Maryland coastal communities.

Further, the Climate Solutions Now Act (CSNA) of 2022 set forth goals to educate and train communities and individuals for the long-term action needed to preserve, protect, and sustain the environment through the development of “green collar” job opportunities and enhancing and expanding the workforce available for environmental protection and clean energy industries.

In an effort to better understand the needs around education for climate action, coastal resource training, and the resources that will be necessary to achieve the CSNA goals, the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, Chesapeake and Coastal Service (CCS) is conducting this needs assessment.

Your robust input will guide the direction of CCS's programs and services.

Your responses will be kept completely confidential and will not be associated with your name or personal information in any way.  This survey will take approximately less than 10 minutes, depending on your responses.
