WID Research Participant Application

Introduction

The World Institute on Disability (WID) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization based in Berkeley, California that works to continuously advance the rights and opportunities of more than one billion people with disabilities worldwide. At WID, we work with a variety of clients to implement or improve both physical and digital accessibility, and to improve usability for people with disabilities. We accomplish this by assessing the clients' products, equipment, processes, websites, environments, and more. If you’d like to read more about this work, you can visit our website: WID's Accessibility and Universal Design Solutions division.

Here's where you come in: WID utilizes participants with disabilities from all over the U.S. for our research studies! If you are interested in participating in our research, please answer all questions in this application to the best of your ability. It is important that we have as much information as possible in order to place you in the appropriate studies. If you qualify for a study, WID will reach out to discuss scheduling and compensation with you.

WID conducts both in-person and virtual research studies. Virtual research study sessions will typically require participants to connect to Zoom with audio and video. Specific details and instructions for each individual study will be provided to participants once they are selected.

Please email us at accessibility@wid.org if you experience any technical or accessibility issues.

Thank you for your interest in improving accessibility!
