Survey for Pedestrian Safety in the Village of Cattaraugus

Survey for Pedestrian Safety in the Village of Cattaraugus

Hello! My name is Marley Dundas, and I am a senior at Cattaraugus-Little Valley Central School (CLVCS). I am currently working toward my Girl Scouts Gold Award and am required to complete a project to do so. Through the years of going to school in the village and having recently gotten my driver’s license, I have noticed that there is a lack of pedestrian crossing signs and crosswalks in the village of Cattaraugus are either faded or nonexistent. For me, this raised concern for the safety of pedestrians and school children who use these crossings daily. As an important part of my Gold Award project, I am using this survey to inquire with residents and students, as well as local businesses, parents, educators, bus drivers and crossing guards if they believe that additional signage and repainted crosswalks would be beneficial to them and would improve safety throughout the community. The survey should only take a few minutes and I greatly appreciate your time!
