BECOME AN OLYMPIA YOUTH ADVISOR
Olympia plans to create a youth council for youth to engage local government and influence important decisions that affect youth in the short term and long term. Before creating the platform, Olympia is looking for youth to help develop the process and structure which will be brought to the City Council for approval. We would love to have you contribute!
What are the different opportunities to contribute? All 13-21 year olds who live in Olympia and apply will be selected as an Olympia Youth Advisor Panelist. No youth will be turned away unless parental/guardian consent isn't achieved.
What will I be doing? As an Olympia Youth Advisor Panelist, you will help the city determine what a “successful” youth council model would look like from the youth’s perspective. This feedback may be through an online survey and/or zoom call.
What is the time commitment? Olympia Youth Advisor Panelists will likely engage in two (2) online surveys.
Compensation & Rewards: In addition to helping shape the way youth will influence Olympia for years to come, all panelists will be placed in a drawing for local prizes from Olympia Coffee gift cards to South Sound Block Party tickets!
