Appleseeds is a free, open-source foundational skills program developed by DESE for Kindergarten through Grade 2. It includes lesson plans, student workbooks, decodable readers, assessments, and educator resources grounded in systematic and explicit foundational skills instruction. Please note that Appleseeds is a standalone K–2 foundational skills program, not a comprehensive K–3 literacy curriculum.
