DML-College Readiness Series for Multilingual Learners - PL Registration

Thank you for your interest in joining the upcoming workshops focused on postsecondary planning for immigrant and undocumented students.

These professional learning opportunities are brought to you by the Division of Multilingual Learners (DML) and will be facilitated by our own staff as well as some of our community partners. 

The current educator workshops available will be hosted virtually on Tuesdays from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM.  The available workshops include: 
  1. Explore Prepare Apply: We want to ensure multilingual learners are supported to hit critical milestones needed to navigate high school, graduate, and pursue a postsecondary pathway of their choosing. Learn about explore, prepare, apply – an organized framework to guide multilingual learners on a college and career journey. Tuesday, January 31, 2023. 
  2. Culturally Responsive Partnerships with ML/ELL Families: Partner with families to tap into their amazing leadership and ways that they meaningfully influence the postsecondary choices of Multilingual and English Language Learners. Identify culturally responsive ways to include them in the journey and equip them with the tools to support their child(ren) in high school and after. Tuesday, February 7, 2023.
  3. Using Data to inform Change: Learn about ways that data can be used to support Multilingual Learners and English Language Learners towards tangible post-secondary milestones and document plans with purpose and follow-ups. Leave the session with clear next steps and resources to support it. Tuesday, February 14, 2023.
