Through this form you will be able to nominate athletes to take part in the Hockey ID open section day at Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre, SL7 1RR on Sunday 4th December 11-3pm.
The open selection day will be the method to select teams to compete in the following;
- Special Olympics World Games, Berlin (16/17th -25th June 2023) – Competing as GB
- EHF Hockey ID Championships, Monchengladbach (20-24th August 2023 travel Thursday-Sunday) - Competing as ENG
- Please note the above dates may alter by a day or two depending on travel arrangements.
- Althete welfare and experience is paramount and with athletes potentially being away from home for 10 days. Part of the ongoing selection of players will be to ensure that being away from home and playing a lot of hockey will not have a detrimental impact on players (or staff).
The form should take 10 minutes to complete and will ask for;
- Athlete details – Name, contact email and phone number, gender, and date of birth
- Eligibility – To the best of the nominator’s knowledge does the athlete meet the eligibility criteria. This includes holding a British Passport, would meet the definition of intellectual impairment for National Eligibility Status, are currently a member of a Hockey Club and are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 or are medically exempt.
- Significant other details - Name, contact email and phone number, relationship to athlete and consent to contact.
