Climate Intervention Stakeholder “Pulse” Survey (Consent)

Introduction and Consent

Introduction:

In order to ensure that climate intervention research and deployment are guided by ethical standards, principles and guidelines, the American Geophysical Union (AGU), in collaboration with government agencies, other professional societies, and additional partners, are seeking your input.  This is part of a larger initiative that, firstly, holds that climate intervention research and deployment are not a substitute for societal progress in mitigating climate impacts through emissions reductions and other means.

The questions in this survey span climate intervention modeling and lab experiments, as well as field application, the scaling of small-scale studies, and large-scale interventions.  We want to ensure that diverse stakeholder perspectives are well-represented in the development and application of ethical standards, principles and guidelines for climate intervention research and deployment.
