Closing the Gap Target 12 Project - Youth Survey

What you share here will help us tell the government about how to support Aboriginal children and young people to be safe, happy and healthy.

What happens to the information you share with us?
We may share what you tell us:
  • with the government to show them where they could be doing a better job in supporting and keeping young people safe
  • in public documents or presentations to help others understand young people’s experiences.
We will never use your name or any details that could identify you.

If you tell us something that is of immediate concern to your or someone else's well-being, we may need to share this with the relevant authorities. We will always try to discuss this with you first.

How to take part
This survey will take around 10 minutes.
How much you say is up to you.
  • It’s ok to ask a parent, carer or another trusted adult for help or support.
  • Your answers will be private and you can stop at any time. You only need to answer the questions you want to answer.
  • We know telling your story can be difficult, so there is a list of support services you can contact if you need to talk to someone after you have done the survey. This list will also be at the end of the survey.
If you have any questions about this survey or are worried about any of the information we have asked for, please contact us:
To thank you for your contributions to this project, the Commission will send you a $50 gift card. Make sure you provide information about how we can contact you at the end of the survey so we can do this.
1. Have you read and understood the information above? *This question is required.
