Culturally Responsive Family Engagement Series Registration Form

Provided by the New York City Department of Education’s Office of Multilingual Learners in partnership with Bridging Cultures, Inc., this 4-part series is intended to support family-facing staff and educators identify strategies, resources, and affirming language to use when engaging multilingual and immigrant South Asian, Arab, Muslim, and West African communities.
This is a 90-minute workshop on West African communities with a special focus on the largest growing community, African Muslims. Participants will receive an overview of our culturally and linguistically diverse students and communities, actionable tools and strategies for parent engagement capacity building. Bridging Cultures Group will provide tools on how to serve the African Muslim community utilizing culturally responsive methods for equity and inclusion.
