DCR Neponset River Greenway to Blue Hills Feasibility Study - Survey #1

Introduction

The Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR)'s mission is to protect, promote, and enhance our commonwealth of natural, cultural, and recreation resources for the well-being of all. In line with this mission, this project's purpose is to identify and evaluate alternative routes for greater community connections, resulting in a preferred shared use path alignment with connections to the Neponset River Greenway at Truman Parkway and the Blue Hills Trailside Museum (See Figure 1 - Project Area. See Figures 2 through 10 for photos of the project area).

DCR defines the following as objectives for the shared use path:
  • Enhanced community connectivity
  • Improved access to recreation and healthy living for all
  • Safety and convenience
  • Preservation of natural resources
  • Protection of historic and archeological areas
  • Climate resiliency
  • Straightforward implementation and maintenance
This online survey is your opportunity to provide input on the development of this project! Thank you.
