National Best Practices: Module 3 Registration

National School Mental Health Best Practices Training - Module 3: Needs Assessment & Resource Mapping

Monday, December 5. 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM CST. Virtual

The Minnesota Department of Education’s Project AWARE & COMPASS teams are proud to partner to present this virtual National School Mental Health Best Practices training on Needs Assessment & Resource Mapping.

Pre-requisite: The National School Mental Health Best Practices Training – Module 1: Foundations of Comprehensive School Mental Health. Go to this link to register: https://survey.alchemer.com/s3/6982312/National-Best-Practices-Module-1-Registration

Audience: School or district level staff that can influence, develop, and oversee school mental health systems at the school district and building level, or anyone interested in learning about how schools & districts can address mental health at the system-level.

Commitment: A short amount of pre-work sent 2 weeks prior to the training date; 1.5 hours of live, virtual training

Outcomes: By the end of this module, participants will be able to:
  • Define needs assessment and resource mapping.
  • Describe at least 3 reasons why needs assessments and resource mapping are valuable for schools.
  • Describe best practices for needs assessment and resource mapping.
Certificate of Course Completion: A certificate of course completion for 1.5 hours will be provided to participants. This can be submitted for CEUs as appropriate. Each CEU agency has differing rules and guidelines and one should inquire about approval with their agency prior to participating in the course if there are questions.
